This might have pushed me over the edge. I forgot how good Joe Haley is. That riffage... That solo.... Oh man.

Now that’s how to age in style. Those bluesy/rockabilly guys are the definition of cool. And that’s coming from a metal head.

Electric drumkit can be had pretty cheap nowadays. I don’t know what kind of used marketplace you’ve got over there tho

You should follow augminishedjosh on IG. Lots of great riffs and one of his guitars is like that. I've wanted a bass with that type of fretboard but I'm not good enough to do even the instruments I have justice

Followed. T hat stuff is right up my alley, seems like a cool dude.

For what it’s worth I’d stay away from his particular brand of fanned fret guitar (Legator). They’re notorious for shoddy craftsmanship, defects, and terrible customer service. I’ve seen one up close that looked nice—if a bit pricey compared to similar boutique brands—and quite a few more with obvious issues.

The idea is twofold. On one hand it allows for more ergonomic playing, with much better access to upper frets, and a more natural wrist positioning.

The other main benefit is when you have a custom scale length for each individual string, you don’t have to make compromises the way your standard guitar does. Here’s a super in depth look at them, if you feel like ner ding out.

Yeah, I don't think he has a ton to spend on gear but he certainly does well with what he has. Definitely good content but I avoid his religious stuff personally.
